MICHAEL J. VOISENAT

(General Manager)

Michael J. Voisenat, is from the Bay Area and longtime Alameda resident. He graduated from Piedmont High School and went to the University of California, Berkeley. He is well known in both the East Bay and SF Bay Area and affectionately known as "Mikey V." He has been in the restaurant business since age 16. He got his first taste of the restaurant business in Hawaii where he worked in the kitchen mopping, scrubbing and assisting with food preparation.

He returned to California and worked as a pantry chef then bartending at the Rusty Pelican in Alameda. In 1989 he was the bar/restaurant manager at the Waterfront café. He worked at Harry Dentons, South Side, Babylon, Fillmore Grill, Martini Lounge, Bimbos, and the Blue Light. In the summer of 2002 he was recruited by the Kimpton Group Hotel conglomerate to open its' newly acquired Sky Hotel/39 Degrees in Aspen, CO. Then he opened a bar and restaurant with several partners in San Francisco, California by the SF Giant's Ballpark, where he met his wife, Amy Voisenat.

Since then, they both shared the dream of opening a bar and restaurant with their own unique concepts, which is a perfect marriage of skills, Amy's exquisite cuisine with Mike's specialty cocktails.
